The EMPROVE team and their external guests had an interesting training week in Girona, Spain, in November 2017, hosted by our Spanish partner Magenta.
During the training week all training modules were presented by the respective authors and elements of these were tested with all participants. Subsequently, feedback was gathered in terms of their usability, relevance, user-friendliness and attractiveness.
The partners took home a lot of very positive impressions and useful hints and tips on how to imrove the training materials.
During our partner meeting in Vienna in May 2017 we brainstormed all relevant learning topics that should be part of our training addressing survivors of domestic violence who have left their violent partnership and who want to lead an independant life.
Main topics will be related to topics such as:
- self-reflection on own strenghts and values,
- emotional intelligence,
- personal mindset,
- job search and job insertion,
REST (Refugee Employment Support and Training) is a European project aiming at enhancing competences in enterprises and organisations to employ and to successfully interact with refugees. REST intends to support employers, human resources managers, in-company trainers and supervisors when it comes to the employment, integration and in-house training of refugees.
At this stage we would like to gather experience with and ideas on possible barriers for employing refugees. For this purpose we have set up a multilingual survey that won’t take you more than 5 minutes. Please find the survey here.
The VALLEY course in Timisoara was a wonderful experience!
With 13 participants – which turned out to be a very lucky number (we had no doubts) – the course was a real success. Each participant brought in a specific piece of expertise and made the course become a truly European learning experience
We were hosted by APOWER that is taking wonderfully care of everything.
In the early days of March 2016 the IMPACT training course was held in the wonderful premises of the Escola Superior de Turismo e Tecnologica do Mar in Peniche, which is a branch of the Instituto Polytecnico de Leiria, on the coast of the Atlantic. 25 participants from 10 European countries came together for 5 days to explore the potentials of competence oriented learning in connection with competence validation in their diverse working contexts.

On 03./04.12.2015 the EILEEN project team met in Madrid and spent two intensive working days in the premises of CECE. The focus was on the finalisation of the trainining modules for enhancing intercultural learning in enterprises and among young people interested in working abroad. Continue reading
All together 40 people met in Alden Biesen, Belgium for the first PROVIDE course on competence based learning.
The course aimed at enabling educationalists to plan and realise a learning trajectory focussing on open competence oriented learning and teaching. The participants were trained to be a facilitator of professional development among vocational/adult learning teachers, and for validating the outcomes of it by means of the LEVEL5 system. The PROVIDE team invites you to a professional development course. In two consecutive training courses we intend to train a small number of energetic and experienced teachers/trainers. We invite you to be part of that team! Together you will prepare a professional learning project in your school/context. During the course you will be supported by the PROVIDE team. Back home you are expected to involve a few teachers/trainers to plan and realise a learning trajectory focussing on open competence oriented learning and teaching. Continue reading
