URBAN – Getting to know local practice

In early October during the European training the participants from the partner countries visited the neighbourhood garden Helmsgrund in Göttingen to gain practical insights into urban gardening initiatives and to learn how the project was initiated and is maintained, what legal regulations need to be observed, how members can get involved, how tasks are coordinated, etc.

It was a very inspiring excursion that gave the participants the opportunity to get a hands-on experience of the training content that is provided during the course.

At the end of the day the training course also aims to have participants initiate gardening projects with young people in their respective countries and contexts.
