The EELLSS partners organised their final event on October 5th and 6th, 2017, in Kassel. The two-day event brought together more than 85 people from all the seven partner countries – among them all partners and all those teachers and students that have been involved in the learning projects.

On 31.08.17 the Landkreis Kassel invited representatives of regional enterprises for an after-work event, where the REST idea was presented and discussed. The CEO of on regional enterprise gave an interesting insight on how he succeeded in overcoming initital challenges such as language problems, legal issues and fear. He underlined that one needs some additional time and patience at the beginning of the process but that it can be very rewarding to give a refugee the chance to work in an enterprise.

The GREEEN Network organised a storytelling award that addressed 14-19 year-old students in Europe to tell their story on climate change. The story involved a time travel – we wanted the storytellers to imagine that they live in 2115 and tell people how the battle against climate change was finally won. How did people change their behaviour into a climate friendly and sustainable one? What invention made fossil fuels obsolete? How did we decrease the consumption of resources to a sustainable level?

The PROMOTE project will be presented by Dr. Tim Scholze, blinc eG, Germany, in the Thematic University-Business Forum as a good example of collaboration between businesses and universities while addressing real-life business issues. This forum looks at how to bridge the gap between education and business. In this context Tim’s presentation will overview the innovative learning approaches developed to promote entrepreneurial competences.

The PROVIDE team invites you to a professional development course. In two consecutive training courses we intend to train a small number of energetic and experienced teachers/trainers. We invite you to be part of that team! Together you will prepare a professional learning project in your school/context. During the course you will be supported by the PROVIDE team.
