In the scope of the BADGES project, partners were able to attend a meeting in the Kreishaus Kassel joined by museum curators from regional museums in the Kassel region. During the BADGES project, an app was created for the exhibition “200 Years of Bremen Town Musicians” in the Kreishaus Kassel to enrich the visit of the exhibition. The exhibition was organised by the Brüder Grimm Association Kassel. It was free to visit and offered a variety of pictures, caricatures and other exhibits inspired by the Town Musicians. During the project a BADGES-app was created for young adults aged 18 to 35, seeking work or training, who go on mobility to Malta to gain professional experience abroad, learn and use a foreign language, get to know a foreign environment and culture independently and actively, and gain orientation for the future and their future career path in the scope of the “The Challenge Abroad – Continued” project. In October 2018, the partnership of BADGES met for a joint staff training course in Peniche (Portugal). A five-day course during which the 19 participants got acquainted with the project’s innovative methodology, reached stage and its following steps and ultimate objectives. Continue reading
Since the launch of BADGES, a lot has happened: the partnership has intensively studied existing approaches to the validation of competences in the cultural heritage sector. On November 8. and 9. the BADGES consortium met for the first time in Kassel.
BADGES sets out to develop a learning and validation approach for cultural and heritage sites that leads to the award of digital badges to visitors who participate in specific learning activities offered by the sites.
The consortium unites heritage sites and public institutions who wish to make additional offers to their visitors, public relations agencies and learning concept developers specialised in validation of non-formal and informal learning (VINFL).
