How do you explain complex European topics in just a few minutes?
This question guided the development of the five Understanding EU Crash Course Videos.
During the project, citizens repeatedly told us that they would like to see more visual explanations of European legislation and institutions. Long legal texts and complex documents can be difficult to understand, while short videos provide an accessible introduction to important topics.
Based on this feedback, the project partnership developed five videos covering:
- the key European institutions,
- the treaties and principles of the EU,
- the role of European policies in everyday life,
- how EU decisions affect citizens,
- and how to use the Understanding EU platform.
Together with the Knowledge Bits, the videos offer another way of exploring Europe—whether you are completely new to EU topics or simply want a quick introduction.
Sometimes, a few minutes are enough to make complex ideas much easier to understand.
