The green and digital transition is changing the skills needed in many sectors. How can workers prepare for these changes? And how can businesses identify skills gaps and support their employees in developing new competences?
The European project TRANSFORM has developed practical learning resources and digital tools to address these challenges, with a particular focus on the agri-food, energy and tourism sectors.
At the centre of the project is the Smart Skills Intelligence Portal, which brings together skills assessment, learning opportunities and tools for workforce development.
The TRANSFORM offer includes:
- Free online training covering digitalisation, entrepreneurship and sector-specific green and digital skills.
- Skills self-assessment to help individuals identify their strengths and potential development needs.
- Learning recommendations to explore relevant training opportunities.
- Tools for businesses to support skills mapping and workforce development.
- The Career Guidance Excellence Programme, providing resources for career counsellors, training providers and other professionals supporting reskilling and career transitions.
From awareness to practical engagement
Following the first round of national Info Days, TRANSFORM is now moving into a new phase. Stakeholders are invited to explore the available resources, participate in testing activities and contribute feedback to their further development.
As part of this process, BUPNET is organising a second TRANSFORM Info Day in Germany in November 2026.
The event will provide an opportunity to discover the project results, explore the platform and discuss how the tools can support workers, businesses and organisations involved in skills development.
Further details about the event and registration will be announced shortly.
