In late August, the UNITE! project partners came together in Copenhagen for a two-day study visit and capacity-building workshop hosted by Væksthuset — a Danish frontrunner in labour market inclusion and social economy.
Over two intensive days, participants had the opportunity to:
- Dive into evidence-based approaches for supporting refugee employment
- Learn how to build confidence and realistic job prospects among jobseekers
- Explore methods for employer engagement and targeted interventions
- Apply the BIP indicators to track individual progression toward work or training
- Develop reflective practices to enhance mentoring and counselling quality
The workshop blended theory, hands-on tasks, and peer exchange — offering practical insights into how research-driven strategies, empathetic support, and structured coaching can help refugees and jobseekers take meaningful steps toward sustainable employment.
This study visit marks a key milestone in the UNITE project. It not only laid the foundation for a shared methodology across partner countries, but also strengthened our collective vision for inclusive labour market systems — built on collaboration, quality, and dignity.
