On 10–11 October 2024, partners of the GBS – Empowering Citizens’ Self-Employment in Green Business project convened in Palermo, Italy, for a two-day meeting hosted by CESIE. The sessions focused on reviewing results, finalising outputs, and planning upcoming activities.
Highlights included strengthening the project’s tools for adult educators and seniors, exploring storytelling as a way to share inspiring senior success stories, testing a Green Business skills game, and peer reviewing the Skills Matrix. The consortium also prepared the e-Guide “Growing My Competences to Start a Green Business,” which will soon offer practical support to both learners and mentors.
During the meeting, partners launched a full set of motivational resources now available on the website, including personal success stories, best practices using media-based storytelling, and an interactive quiz to reflect on entrepreneurial strengths. Together, these resources encourage seniors to explore sustainable self-employment.
The Palermo meeting represented a key milestone, reinforcing collaboration and setting the stage for the next phases.
