We recently met in Vienna with all 12 MILES project partners to reflect on the results of our piloting activities and take the next steps toward bringing media literacy more actively into classrooms across Europe. During the meeting, partners shared their experiences from training sessions with teachers and discussed how the insights gathered can be translated into practical, engaging learning activities for students.
Building on this exchange, the project is now entering a new phase: student pilots are rolling out across partner countries. In these workshops, students will explore how disinformation spreads and how prebunking strategies can help them recognise and resist manipulation in the digital world.
An especially creative element is coming next: students will design their own board games that make prebunking strategies playful, accessible, and easy to share. Through game design, students will translate complex concepts into interactive experiences that can spark discussions among peers, friends, and families—helping media literacy become part of everyday conversations.
