On 12–13 December 2023, the partners of the GBS – Empowering Citizens’ Self-Employment in Green Business project met for the first transnational meeting in Göttingen, Germany. ✨
Over two days, the consortium clarified objectives, roles, and the initial steps for helping senior citizens build their own green businesses. A key activity ahead will be gathering innovative examples and best practices of sustainable entrepreneurship from across Europe. 🌱💡
The project’s focus is on encouragement and empowerment: seniors will be inspired to pursue green self-employment, supported by flexible learning and mentoring opportunities. A digital tool is also being developed to recognise acquired competences, and adult educators will receive support to strengthen their digital teaching skills. 💻👩🏫
This first meeting laid the foundation for productive teamwork among partners from Germany, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and Portugal, setting a clear course for the project’s future. 🚀
