Who knows best what really works in the classroom? The answer is simple: the people who teach there every day.
As part of the MILES project, BUPNET brought together teachers, media educators and project staff to review and further develop educational resources that help young people navigate today’s digital world critically and confidently. During the co-design workshops, participants explored the proposed learning activities, shared their classroom experiences and discussed how topics such as AI-generated content, misinformation and social media could best be addressed with students.
Their feedback was invaluable. It helped us refine the materials, make activities more practical and ensure they are flexible enough to fit different classroom settings and learner needs.
This collaborative approach is one of the strengths of MILES. By involving educators throughout the development process, we are creating resources that are not only innovative but also realistic, engaging and ready to use in everyday teaching.
The ideas and recommendations gathered during these workshops became an important foundation for the student workshops that followed—bringing media literacy from collaborative planning into real classroom practice.
These activities are part of BUPNET’s contribution to the Erasmus+ project MILES, where partners from ten European countries work together to strengthen media literacy, critical thinking and resilience against misinformation.
