As May brought nice spring weather, our UNITE participants met for a relaxed picnic in the beautiful Schillerwiesen, one of Göttingen’s favourite green spaces where families and friends gather during the warmer months.
Sharing food, conversations, and games in such an informal setting created new opportunities to practise German, exchange experiences, and simply enjoy spending time together.
These moments may seem small, but they play an important role in building trust, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
Because integration is not only about finding employment—it is also about feeling at home.
