Health Education for Advanced Learning in Digital Healthcare
Digital technologies are transforming healthcare, creating new opportunities for patient care, communication and service delivery. At the same time, healthcare professionals and educators need new competences to work effectively in increasingly digital environments.
HEAL-D is an Erasmus+ Capacity Building in VET project that supports the modernisation of healthcare education in Albania and Kosovo. By bringing together expertise from vocational education, higher education and the healthcare sector, the project aims to strengthen digital health competences and better prepare learners for the future labour market.
Project objectives
HEAL-D focuses on:
- developing modern and practice-oriented digital healthcare curricula;
- strengthening the competences of VET educators and healthcare professionals;
- promoting work-based learning and practical training opportunities;
- fostering cooperation between education providers and the healthcare sector;
- improving the quality and relevance of vocational education in digital healthcare.
Project activities
To achieve these objectives, the partnership will:
- analyse current needs and identify good practices in digital healthcare education;
- adapt and develop innovative learning materials and training resources;
- create digital learning tools and an online learning platform;
- develop guidance and teaching resources for educators;
- pilot and validate the developed materials with learners and educators;
- disseminate project results to ensure long-term impact and sustainability.
Partnership
HEAL-D is coordinated by BUPNET (Germany) and brings together partners from Germany, Greece, Albania and Kosovo, combining expertise in vocational education, higher education, public health and digital learning.
