From 6–8 May 2025, the GBS project organised a three-day training in Almada, Portugal, hosted by StoryTellMe. The programme, titled “How to Facilitate the e-Studio: Green Business – a Way for Senior Citizens’ Self-Employment,” aimed to prepare adult educators to guide seniors in their green entrepreneurship journey.
📍 Taking place at NOVALMADA VELHA, the event combined expert presentations, interactive workshops, and cultural exchange. One highlight was a keynote by Rita Pelica, founder of ONYOU, who shared valuable insights into creativity, leadership, and entrepreneurship in adult learning.
Throughout the training, participants explored new Open Educational Resources, tested innovative mentoring methods, and practised facilitating e-Studio sessions. They also exchanged perspectives enriched by cross-cultural interaction, including a cultural dinner in Lisbon. The event helped educators develop strategies for fostering a Growth Mindset, boosting learners’ resilience, adaptability, and confidence.
The training concluded with evaluation and certificates, marking an important step towards the upcoming pilot phase.
