DigiArts New Developments: Crafting Exercises with Theater im OP

We’re thrilled to share a significant milestone in the development of the DigiArts project—the crafting of a set of exercises along our main five topics: problems and challenges of digital work, stereotypes among young people, conflict resolution and negotiation, self-performance and empowerment, and engagement and participation. What makes this endeavour even more exciting is our collaboration with professionals from the esteemed Theater im OP at the University Göttingen.

Diving into Development: Our team has been hard at work, fueled by the passion to create exercises that resonate with the core principles of DigiArts. These exercises are meticulously designed to delve into the main topics of the project, offering a comprehensive toolkit for youth workers to foster dialogue, collaboration, and social inclusion.

The Power of Theater: Collaborating with professionals from Theater im OP has been an enriching experience. Their expertise in theatrical arts adds a dynamic and immersive element to our exercises. Together, we are exploring the transformative potential of theater in addressing the challenges of “interrupted” conversations among young individuals.

A Peek Behind the Scenes: The development process involves a harmonious blend of theory and practical application. Our team, in collaboration with Theater im OP professionals, is shaping exercises that go beyond traditional methods. From interactive role-playing to innovative storytelling techniques, each exercise is designed to engage and empower.

Why Theater? Theater, as an art form, has the unique ability to evoke emotions, challenge perspectives, and create a shared experience. Integrating theatrical elements into our exercises aligns perfectly with the DigiArts mission—to use creative mediums to strengthen collaboration and dialogue among European youth.

Anticipating the Unveiling: As we navigate this creative process, we’re eagerly anticipating the unveiling of these exercises. Soon, youth workers and advocates will have access to a set of activities that go beyond the conventional, providing innovative and effective tools for driving positive change.
