The 7th conference on Competence Oriented Learning and Validation of non-formal and informal learning (VINFL) will be carried out on 22nd and 23rd of September 2016.
After the 10-years anniversary of REVEAL network conferences in 2015 in Mechelen (BE) the 2016-conference will be carried out in the city of Thessaloniki, hosted by the Aristotele University and the CEDEFOP.

We are happy to announce our third European award “La VITA è bella!”. We are looking for projects and activities in all educational fields (from school to higher education, vocational training, adult learning, youth, volunteering and mobility projects etc.) that promote the development of competences in a holistic way and include practical cases on how learning outcomes and competence developments within this specific competence area can be assessed and evidenced also beyond the walls of formal education.

PROMOTE project has just reached its first important milestone: the completion of comprehensive stocktaking activities based on a desk research, online questionnaires and expert interviews.The desk research has been combined with expert interviews of representatives of higher education institutes and businesses to inquire about existing approaches to acquire and validate key competences both in higher education and in industry and enterprises.
The PROMOTE project will be presented by Dr. Tim Scholze, blinc eG, Germany, in the Thematic University-Business Forum as a good example of collaboration between businesses and universities while addressing real-life business issues. This forum looks at how to bridge the gap between education and business. In this context Tim’s presentation will overview the innovative learning approaches developed to promote entrepreneurial competences.

This questionnaire will become part of the broader PROMOTE survey, which will employ qualitative and quantitative methods to investigate the awareness about existing methods as well as demand for validation of entrepreneurship, civic and learning to learn competences gained during mobility. This multiple-choice questionnaire should not take more than 10 minutes to complete.

The kick-off meeting of PROMOTE took place in February 2015, hosted at Alden Biesen Castle and Cultural Centre, in Belgium. The meeting was organised in synergy with another Erasmus+ project, IMPACT, and the training course organised by the project PROVIDE.
PROMOTE is a new Erasmus+ project which started in November 2014. It aims at creating and introducing an open learning environment and validation system for the development of key competences of students in mobility/traineeships and continuous professional development of employees. Continue reading
